Welcome to Crested Lady Reptiles!

Introduction

Ever since I was little, I have always had a fascination with animals. I was never the kind of girl to wear skirts and play with Barbies... I always preferred hunting for snails and adding new creatures to my "bug enclosure". My parents were very understanding and let me try my hand at a lot of different animals. I've had flying squirrels, sugar gliders, skunks, ferrets, seahorses, you name it. They took my phases in stride and let me run with most ideas I had. (Even though Dad hated the tarantula!)

Through all the animals, and all the years... reptiles have always been my passion. I always had at least one snake, turtle, etc. in my menagerie, but I was looking for the "perfect" reptile to fit my personality. I finally found it while working at a pet store when a friend of mine said that he had something he KNEW I'd love. He brought this "mystery" reptile into the store, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. Big beautiful eyes, bright orange velvety skin, AND it could lick it's eyes! I had seen my first crested... and I was in love. Bob, as the gecko was named, came home with me and is the reason I'm still hooked on cresteds today.

My collection has grown steadily since and I've been lucky enough to acquire some amazing animals. I don't consider myself a "large" breeder, I wouldn't want to be. I do it for the joy of finding eggs in the lay box, or opening up the incubator to a new face on "Baby Day".

My main interest is in Rhacodactylus, however it's not limited to them. Now that I'm settled and have room to further expand my collection, I've branched off into amphibians, snakes, and other types of geckos. Keep an eye on the site, you never know what I'm going to add next!
